SO-Hot Bastardos (Shed Original Series)
The Shed Original Series hand wound Hot Bastardos are purpose built heavy rocking, high output razor sharp tone monsters.
Turn the volume down a little though and the versatile Hot Bastardos expansive tonality truly starts to blossom. You are rewarded with a rich tonality full of amazing ‘edgy’ classic rock snarl, with expressive mids and a warm focused bottom end.
Down the volume a little more and the signal starts to clean up with an incredibly PAF rich, bell-like resonance…Crank them back to eleven though...and hard-hitting brutality never sounded so good!
- Pickup wind directions and polarities: Neck and bridge screw pole south up. Wind direction both CCW
- The bridge pickup is 16k ohms with a Alnico 5 magnet and 43 AWG plain enamel wire.
- The neck pickup is 8 k ohms with an Alinco 4 magnet and 42 AWG plain enamel wire.
- Hand wired & constructed with Vintage spec. materials
- Hot Bastardos are Not wax potted so they retain their full tonality. The magnets are lacquered to the baseplate and the windings are tightly taped which reduces the chances of unwanted high gain feedback
